Performance Finish Water and Stain Resistance

Our C-oh! finish offers superior resistance to liquids and water-based stains while maintaining the fabric’s soft hand and color vibrancy. This immersion finish prevents liquids from penetrating the fabric’s surface, causing aqueous stains to bead up and roll off.

Easy-Care Maintenance Cleaning Code WS (with Water or Solvents)

To prevent soiling, gentle vacuuming on a regular basis to remove dust is recommended. Most stains can be cleaned if promptly treated. Blot with a clean, colorfast cloth. Remove solids with flat object and vacuum with a proper attachment. Pretest cleaning on an inconspicuous area to determine if there is any color impact to the fabric.

For water-based stains, use a detergent-based cleaner and water. Do not saturate as it could leave a ring. Use a clean cloth and water to rinse to remove residue and to avoid a reoccurring stain. Air dry.

  • Soil Release: grade 4-5 (baby lotion, chocolate, coffee, cola, ketchup, milk, mustard, pen, red wine, suntan lotion, and tea.)

For oil-based stains, gently blot with solvent-based or dry-cleaning solution. Apply cleaning agent to a clean cloth, not directly to fabric.

  • Soil Release: grade 4 (liquid makeup) Soil Release: grade 3 (Italian dressing)

Environmentally Conscious Innovative Technology Free from Harmful Chemicals

Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) break down to PFOA and PFOS, which are harmful to human health and the environment. Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluoro-octane sulfonic acid (PFOS) are members of a chemical group called per- and poly- fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). PFAS are widely used chemicals that can take decades to eliminate from the body and the environment with toxic aftereffects.

*C-oh! is a perfluorocarbon-free stain resistant finish that extends the life of the fabric while reducing its carbon footprint with no PFCs, no PFAS (including no PFOA nor PFOS), no Heavy Metals (including no Lead nor Cadmium), no Phthalates, no Formaldehyde, and is Prop 65-compliant.

Our Indoor & Outdoor Living performance fabrics are weather resistant, easily cleanable, health conscious, and environmentally friendly. They withstand the elements while sprucing up both indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Weather and Stain Resistant

High resistance to UV light exposure. Though not waterproof, does not absorb water and dries quickly. Enhanced dye methods provide superior colorfastness.

  • Colorfastness to Light: minimum Class 4 at 1000 hours
  • Colorfastness to Wet & Dry Crocking: minimum Grade 5 of 5

Easily Cleaned and Sanitized

To prevent soiling, regular light brushing or vacuuming is recommended to remove dirt. Most dirt and spills should be able to be resolved promptly. Blot immediately. Clean for outside to middle of affected area to prevent circling.

Washable with lukewarm water (<90°F) and mild soap. Air or line dry.

  • Soil release: grade 5 of 5 (for baby lotion, chocolate, cola, coffee, milk, red wine, tea, and suntan lotion).
For oil-based stains, a solvent cleaner is recommended. Air or line dry.
  • Soil release: minimum grade 4.5 of 5 (for italian dressing, ketchup, lipstick, liquid make-up, and ballpoint pen).

Three-Year Warranty

This warranty exclusively covers the anomalous and excessive degradation of color due to normal sun exposure, salt water, and other general weather conditions. (Some pigments can vary in saturation over time while still maintaining the same chromatic tone due to weather and pollution, but this will not affect the chemical, physical, and technical character of the yarn or fabric).

  • This warranty does not cover damage caused by force majeure, fire, storms, animal excrement, pollution, mechanical action, strong winds, malicious damage or destruction, nor inappropriate use.
  • This warranty covers the cost of fabric replacement.

Care and Cleaning

The Standard Reference Guide for Professional Upholstery Cleaning and the American Home Furnishings Association Joint Industry Fabric Standards and Guidelines Committee references codes W, S, WS and X as commonly recognized symbols used in relation to the care and cleaning of upholstery textiles. These Cleaning Codes are valuable guides but are not meant to be inclusive comprehensive instructions for manufacturers, retailers, consumers, or professional cleaners regarding all manner of cleaning upholstery fabrics.

We take pride in the quality of our products that meet or exceed industry standards for performance. We recommend the following guidelines for our fabrics:

Before cleaning, pretest a small inconspicuous area before proceeding. Do not saturate. To prevent overall soiling, and especially with pile fabrics, frequent vacuuming or light brushing with a non-metallic, soft, stiff-bristle brush to remove dust and grime is recommended to restore appearance. Allow to air dry.

S (Solvent)

Spot clean only with a water-free cleaning solvent. DO NOT USE WATER. Cushion covers should not be removed and dry-cleaned. When cleaning a spill, blot immediately to remove spilled material. Clean spots or stains from the outside to the middle of the affected area to prevent circling. Overall cleaning by a professional furniture cleaning service is recommended.

W (Water)

Spot clean only with water-based shampoo or foam upholstery cleaner. Do not use solvents to spot clean. Hot water extraction or steam cleaning is not a recommended cleaning method. Cushion covers should not be removed and laundered. When cleaning a spill, blot immediately to remove spilled material. Clean spots or stains from the outside to the middle of the affected area to prevent circling. Use a professional furniture cleaning service when an overall soiled condition has been reached.

WS (Water or Solvent)

Spot clean with upholstery shampoo, foam from a mild detergent, or mild cleaning solvent. Hot water extraction or steam cleaning is not a recommended cleaning method. Cushion casings should not be removed and laundered or dry-cleaned. When cleaning a spill, blot immediately to remove spilled material. Clean spots or stains from the outside to the middle of affected area to prevent circling. Use a professional furniture cleaning service when an overall soiled condition has been reached.

X (Vacuum)

Clean only by vacuuming or light brushing with a non-metallic, soft, stiff-bristle brush. DO NOT USE ANY WATER OR SOLVENT-BASED CLEANER.

Bleach Cleanable

Products noted as bleach cleanable are those whose yarns are solution-dyed. With this dye method, the colorant is added before yarn extrusion so the color becomes an integral part of the yarn and cannot fade or wash out. For these products, we recommend using a cleaning solution of 10:1 water to bleach ratio. Rinse with lukewarm water.
